About Me

Andrew (Andy) Nyhus has been creating stunning photographs since 1988. He initially concentrated on photographing athletic events and portraits but his skill has developed over time into a broad range of wildlife work, with a particular focus on birds. Andy is an avid birder and member of the Hiawatha Valley Audubon Society in Winona, MN. He captures the colors, textures, shapes and beauty of birdlife with respect for the environment.
In recent years his photography has expanded to include portraiture and weddings, sharing a respect and sensitivity to his clientele. His keen sense of seeing light, texture, color and motion, allows him to capture images unlike any other photographer.
Andy uses the most current Nikon technology to produce the highest quality photographs available which allows him to take great pride in his finished images.
Andy resides in the southeastern Minnesota community of Winona, surrounded by picturesque bluffs and the winding Mississippi River. Aside from being a respected local business owner, he is a golfer, fisherman, father and experienced traveler.
